How Many Kids is Too Many? — creating essence

When you leave the house as a large family, there is a list of comments you can be certain you’ll hear from strangers.

“Boy, you sure have your hands full.”
Sure do, and I love it.

“You know what causes that, don’t you?”

Mm-hmm, and I like that, too.

“Do you need a CDL to drive that bus?”

Nope.

"How do you do it?”

One precious day at a time.

“You know your destroying the plant with that kind of overpopulation, right?”

Do you want to spout your agenda or do ACTUALLY want to have a conversation of the statistics of modern birth rates and our carbon footprint?

"How do you afford to feed all those kids?”

Through careful budgeting and hard work.

I could go on for a really long time, but I’ll end there. Those are just a handful of the least inappropriate things large families hear regularly from random strangers.
